The Kanji modules are intended overall to enable judo clubs to become more resilient in the basic disciplines of coaching, officiating and refereeing through primarily the young members but are valuable to all ages 10 years upwards.

The modules act as a clear simpler version of the three skill sets delivered to seniors and operate as a great introduction for anyone who wishes to move forward in anyone or all three disciplines, the material is similar to the mainstream modules which enables people who have done them to move easily into the full mainstream qualifications at a later date.

It is hoped that by doing the modules, club members will be able to reduce the stress and strain on the lead coach by doing some of things for them. The lead coach on a session for example may have a helper who does warm up. Cool down, looking after the very young with basic technique or even tying their belt etc. Referees and officials, will be able to do the basics of managing a contest, this should help stimulate competition in the club.
